Also don't worry about light traffic on your own blog. Don't let traffic become the way you measure success. I think the first comment I got was from a guy who was looking for someone to do him on the hood of his car (I wonder if I kept that), and after that, I stopped giving a shit. The only reason to blog is if you actually enjoy it. Then the people will find you. Btw, my word verification thingy is on and it's asking me to type the word "kluxk", which is just a little weird. -RDRowsdowerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11838121237664869405noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7155318.post-1153357007421500412006-07-19T17:56:00.000-07:002006-07-19T17:56:00.000-07:00Hey there. I DO however think that you need to be my new best friend. My husband found your blog recently and thought it was great. He told me about it for a couple of reasons I think. One, because he thinks it's hilarious and two in an attempt to make me feel better about my OWN blog not getting much action. It was kind of a "see look honey, this guy is side-splittingly funny and he only has a couple of comments per post". Anyway. I was just reading through your archives and the post about the No Bullshit line had me rolling. You may now consider me a regular!!! When someone intrudes on a personal choice and tells me what I *have* to do, then it becomes important to me to show them what I think of their order, even if it means doing something I wouldn't have done in the first place. (within limits, of course) I wouldn't feel similarly compelled to take a contrary stance if someone is merely expressing an opinion, as in the coffee example. I merely point out that you can identify a bossy asshole by his knee-jerk opposition to any opinion, however harmless, that he doesn't already share. -RDRowsdowerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11838121237664869405noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7155318.post-1153074096018383172006-07-16T11:21:00.000-07:002006-07-16T11:21:00.000-07:00Doesn't your example of the coffee conversation di...Doesn't your example of the coffee conversation directly mirror your seatbelt encounter? The person responding to the coffee comment had to take an adverse position, just as you became determined to not buckle up regardless of what you had wanted to do before?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
